I stood before the gates of Hell
Their key grasped in my hand
I heard the clanging, blaring bell
While at the door I stand
I placed the key into the lock
And turned it til it clicked
As I listened to my sad lifeÅ› clock
tick and tick and tick
I entered through the iron door
To screams and tortured cries
And when I saw the pain they bore
I could not believe my eyes
I saw flames as high as mountains
Surrounding burning souls
Spewing forth like fountains
To collect their unpaid tolls
An eternity in this torment
Stuck inside this place
Unless for sins I do lament
And give penance to erase
I wake up from my slumber
Shaken to the core
Now among the number
Who've stood at Hell's front door
